Hi felas i hace this issue on colour hp mfp m477fdw when i make copy the black have black background and i change the cartridge even worst than initial one. Pls hope someone can put me through. Thanks in advance

Can you give us more information... in print with the pc is it ok? OEM cartridges ? Firmware update?

If it's totally black I would be looking at the transfer belt, while you are there look for repeating marks about 5 cm apart in the feed direction, this indicates the fuser is faulty. This machine can be expensive to repair.

Appreciate all your concerns printing from pc make the same copy with photocopy and self test, apart from the background the colour separation look fine.with another cartridge the background still there even more darker. Thanks

Original cartridges??? Verify that the side contacts on the toner compartments are not bent or out of position

try a genuine HP black cartridge. The 477's don't always do well with compatibles.
