After completion of a print job the carriage goes to the left but the cutter doesn't attach to the carriage to cut the paper. Any suggestions or reason it wouldn't do it?
You could have a broken cutter assembly. Or there's a piece of paper interfering with it and the carriage.
If you turn the printer on, and then when it brings the carriage out as it initializes, pull the power cord, then move the carriage by hand and see if it can pick up the cutter. I believe the cutter is similar to other models with a rather fragile little spring loaded arm on the top that engages with the carriage. I've seen them break off a few times.
The cutter is easy to get to from the left side, like all the T series printers before it. There's a small panel screwed to the larger left-hand cover you remove to reveal the cutter.

I've taken out the cutter and it seems to be ok. Could the carriage not be going far enough over to engage? Is there a adjustment for the travel of the carriage ?
[QUOTE=Kiran Otter;2350243]There's no adjustment. Make sure you can push the carriage and engage the cutter by hand. It could be the 'hook' on the carriage is broken off
