    [Jamming] HP MFP M479fdn jamming when printing on labels

    How are you all?

    I am having problems with an HP M479fdn which jamming when I try to print on labels. It doesn't jam when printing on A4 bond or letter size. The labels are 2X8 measuring 174mmX306mm. Each label is 71mmX36mm. I have set the paper size in the print server properties. The machine jams at registration or exit section. The jam code is 13.09.04 and 13.09.14.

    Has anyone ever encountered this challenge. This is a new machine and it has done 1191 pages only. Did I buy the wrong printer or there is something that I am not setting correctly?

      I think that type of paper is only for printers with continuous form feed support such as dot matrix printers etc. , have you tried with A4 sheets with labels??

          BOSS hit it right. you can't use those in that machine...

              Did you set the paper size as a custom size 174mm x 306mm? Wrong paper size will throw off the paper registration and cause paper jams.

              Using these type of labels are not made for this type of printer as the labels might peel away from the backing and get stuck somewhere inside the printer, most likely on one of the fuser rollers.
