    T2500 error printhead 0x00020

    Hello!

I come back to you with a new problem with our old T2500 plotter. Today I needed it and when I started it (after a break of about 2 months) when it started, an error appeared on the print head (0x00020). It recommends changing the print head, but it only has 98 ml passed through it and it was installed 10 months ago.

If I start the replacement procedure with the same head, the printhead appears to have been replaced successfully, but when it goes through the alignment procedure, the error for the above printhead (0x00020) appears. I also tried to cancel the automatic alignment, but after the first printed sheet the error appears again.

What could be the fault? Where should I begin? I state that I have a new printhead, but I don't seem to want to unseal it if I'm not sure that this solves the problem.

Any help is welcome! Thank you!

I don't have to look up any codes to tell you that ink based devices must be run at LEAST every week, if not more. I recommend at least one Arch D of full color fill each week.

Without ink flowing through the printhead, the nozzles dry up. So, you say: Why would I want to run a bunch of prints I don't need? The answer: So you don't have to replace the printhead. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I thought it couldn't be the print head as long as I can print a color a0+ format (it doesn't look clogged or dry ink on it, on the contrary it has a lot of ink), I don't see misalignments or lack of colors. I repeat, the problem occurs when aligning the print head after reinstallation or after the first printed plan.

If the date on the printhead has not passed, I would simply return it to where you bought it for a replacement. It's still under warranty. Or contact HP directly.

If it's bad, it's bad. Just get it replaced.

The date on the printhead is August 2023 I will replace the print head with a new one tomorrow. I hope it will be resolved with this exchange.
I will keep you informed of what I solve. Thank you!

"The printhead failed to complete the replacement process.
            Replace printhead.
Press ok to continue with printhead replacement."
It seems that the process of installing a new printhead cannot be completed. Any ideas why? [emoji53]

I put 3 new cartridges today (G, MK, M), I put MK before changing the print head because it was insufficient. G and M are expired, does this affect the completion of the printhead installation?

              PK (new) - 44%
              G - 99%
              MK (new) - 69%
              C - 44%
              M (new)- 100%
              Y - 36%

No. The expiration date is for the warranty, not the ink.

I'm sorry if this is late. I have had a couple T2500s that would have trouble installing a new print head. It was down to either the purge unit or the service station being bad. I don't remember the exact code by now, but there are some diagnostics that can narrow it down some.
