    hp 8150 dirty pages

ok so the first pages are fine in fact i can print a hundred pages fine but as soon as there is a lag between print jobs the back of my pages are dirty after ~15 pages it cleans up but once a new job is sent its back to absolutely filthy backs. front side of page is perfect

pull cartage and the drum is partly coated but it clears when you rotate it
charge roller is coated in toner.

clean them and once its up and running any waiting jobs print perfect until there is a pause in the printing and its back to dirty grey backs

I'm a tech and the cartage works in my test machine at the office perfectly

      (side note)
My company sells so called knock off printer cartages and we have a ~1% fail rate so dont blame generics just because they have been bad in the past

Check contacts that touch cartridge, try new HVPS, or replace fuser. Toner is getting on the back of pages comes from dirty pressure roller, but that toner had to come from somewhere so try the first 2 suggestions first. Try to eliminate cause of toner buildup or you're going to have this problem again.

toner on the back comes from the charge/transfer roller as it is totally coated when i pull the cartage

If one of your cartridges dumped on the transfer, it is having an effect. Change the transfer or at least try to clean it real good with a dry cloth and air. Then try a different cartridge, even if it is the same brand. The odds of two doing the same thing are small, if you know that they worked well in the past.

I have seen knock-off cartridges go bad after half their rated life, I have seen good reman'd cartridges (MSE) that have defects shortly after install, I have seen brand new OEM cartridges bad out of the box.
Bottom line, with out another cartridge (or another printer), you will never know if you have a known-good cartridge. I have assumed cartridges good because I didn't have one and all I did was waste time and throw good money away replacing good parts. Keep it simple. Don't forget it could be the Fuser. The fact that it is showing up after a run, sounds like something not cleaning itself. These Fuser do not have cleaning rollers like the same Fuser installed in its original Canon engine printer, so they depend on the Rollers to be coated correctly and correct pressure. Since it is not every time, I would suggest getting a new/different Toner and Fuser. Hell, you will need the replacement Toner Fuser (get the maintenance kit that comes with the Fuser and Transfer Roller so you can rule that out also) at some point anyhow, so it is only an investment not a extra cost. However, swapping other parts could prove to be a waste of time and money. Good luck. Post your results.
