    hp 3050

    Hi everyone! I'm new to hp's. My tech is working on an hp 3050 when he manually enters an email address the @ symbol "beeps" but doesn't appear on the screen we, thought it was a bad op- panel and replaced it with the same result, we checked another 3050 that works correctly.
    I have the feeling that there is an answer to this in programming or something deceptively simple. All help will be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!!

      I don't know that panel, but could it be something simple like Shift + @, or Upper Case + @? Is the @ grayed out until some secondary key is pressed? =^..^=
      If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

          tech reset control panel and fax ? then the @ became functional. (it wasn't greyed out before the reset.
