    Designjet carriage bushings

    Hi
    Ive been looking for bushings for the Carriage Assembly for most designjet models. I have a few carriages that are perfect for replaceing the bushings designjet 500/800 and 5000 series but hp doesnt have any partnumbers for them and youll need to replace the entire assy just because the bushings are worn.

    So the question is do any of you know if theres somwhere you can order these online ?

      Try calling Everprint. They may be able to help you.
      They sell designjet parts and also seem to have used parts as well.

          I have never had to replace bushings I just clean them up and they are good to go.

              The only problem I've ever had with Designjet carriage bushings was when an enthusiastic enduser changed the carriage belt and somehow flipped over the bushings. They're keyed, so that doesn't work too well. And it couldn't have been accidental. There is a retaining screw for each bushing.

              I too, just clean them up along with the scan rail and add a little light lubrication. =^..^=
              If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
              1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
              2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
              3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
              4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
              5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

                  I have never replaced carriage bushings either. From what I understand HP isn't selling carriages for the 500/800 in the US any longer.

                      The 500/800 carriage is still an available part from HP
