HP Laserjet 9000/40/50MFP 3000 sheet stapler stacker

The finisher kicks out a paper or 2 out two far when its offset stacking or stapling so that the staple wont even catch it because its out too far? Has anyone had the problem with this finisher (and solved it without replacing the whole unit actuator? I believe thats what its called). We have about 4 of these in our shop and are trying to figure out how to fix without having to replace the $700 part!

Anytime any finisher ejects the paper too far out before compiling is commonly caused by worn/deformed or missing rollers within the finisher (just like berny said).

I dont know much about the HP's as I never see them, but I did find this in the S.M.........
After you confirm/repair any hardware fault, run this calibration, just to make sure.

          Staple stacker

We may have one in new condition (unboxed, never used, orange tape still on it) for sale cheaper than the $700 part.
