    HP 5M Idler gear

    Hi, I replaced fuser but didnt see idler gear also broke(i thought I looked).I couldnt find in Manual how to replace it. is there an easy way to replace idler gear that drives fuser,

    You have to remove the formatter board, the motor, then there are 2 screws for the gear drive. You need to buy a coupler gear and will need retaining ring pliers to remove the ring that holds the pin that goes through the gear. Not too difficult.
