The 50.6 code is a common fault with power supplies. Perhaps it was a used or almost repaired power supply? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

well it was a "pulled from new machine that was never powered on"
replaced the fuser as it did have a problem ( bad center thermister) but still there
so i took the old power supply and am going to try and fix it this weekend
if not then a known working ps and then a dc controller but I haven't seen that many dc controllers go bad on the high end hp's
        any help would be appreciated

        thanks

Make sure this printer is plugged directly into a known good outlet. It has a sizable power draw and will not work well in most surge protectors. Some work environments don't have consistent power from outlets and that can be a problem with these machines. The 9000 series printers have had problems with dc controllers. I don't remember anyone saying that about the 9500, though.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Coke in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!".
