[Error Code] HP(CLJ)8500DN--Fusing unit error, even when replaced with a new one

What would be the most probable cause of this printer NOT firing up the fuser unit? These fuser units work in other printers of the same model when swapped.

Formatter??? for the fuser? I maybe wrong, but I don't think so. A bad LVPS will cause a 50 error if the fuser is good. If the fuser is not heating up, that's where I'd go next.

They are not cheap. You might consider a refurbished one or get your client to update their machine.
