This HP 5000N keeps turning off when you try to print. It comes right back on with a paper jam or just tries to restart. Is this a classic power supply problem or could it be the fuser jamming up or the cartridge? Never seen it before. It throws no error codes.

Re: HP 5000N keeps turning on and off
Can you get an error log print? Does it record any errors or jams here? =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I'd find a way to get meter leads onto the DC power supply outputs, then power up and watch the meter. It should be pretty clear, whether it's the power supply or not. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:

If you haven't checked to make sure the covers are staying closed while the machine is printing, you should probably check that now. Let us know what you find, please.
Also, make sure the power cord is plugged in to the wall socket and the machine properly. That has bit me in the sitting muscles a couple of times.Comment
