What would cause a light strip, meaning that the printed image is there, but feint, to go from the leading edge to the trail edge of the copy? I'm certain that it isn't the fuser, transfer roller, or toner cartridge. I swapped each one out and the problem remains. Thank you for any help given.

Most likely, just the first mirror. If you take the top off of the laser, the dirtiest mirror will be closest to the laser shutter. Also clean the beam detect mirror and sensor, and the various lenses, both sides.
You don't want to touch the surfaces of the polygon mirror. It scratches very easily. Air only. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

To add to what blackcat4866 said, it is unlikely to be the polygon mirror anyway. From what I've seen, as the polygon mirror gets dirty, the prints are OK on one side, but get progressively lighter to the other side.Comment

To be sure it is not the transfer roller or fuser I do a half-stop test. I let the paper get under the drum and stop the printer. If you see a good image on drum then it is not the laser. In the case I also put my money on dirty laser glass.Comment

I'm inclined to believe laser scanner, but in the off chance it's not. Check your cartridge contacts in the machine. Inside and above the power supply (Must remove power supply to check this.) If they are dirty, clean them. If they are damaged or broken, you will need to find a transfer frame asm. This is the black plastic frame the transfer roller snaps into. (It is a bear to replace because you have to put the printer on the right side and remove the left side metal frame to get it out/in.) If none of the contacts are damaged, it might be power supply, or dc controller related.Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Coke in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!".Comment
