Yeah, more info would be helpful. Are you using the standard touch-screen PC?

The firewire cables and connectors are notoriously flimsy. Make sure you try another cable, and make sure it's seated correctly; don't let the cable hang and pull on the connector, especially at the scanner end.

scanner is not connected any pc or server, only display says there is not scanner.How can I test the firecables? thanks.
