Re: hp lj600 m603 smear
If you blow up your scan all the way 6400% I think you'll see something like whats in my picture. Essentially there is some sort of lint dragging through the developed image on the drum, or dragging through the transferred, but unfused image on the paper. Lint this small is nearly invisible. Certain Sharp models were prone to this effect. Use a stretch-N-dust to wipe down every surface close to the drum, or near the fuser inlet. =^..^=
Recreation.JPGIf you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Re: hp lj600 m603 smear
I kind of doubt that it's lint. The smears are across the board, and I've never seen the lint problem in HP's. I would guess more the paper... at least, that would be my first guess with my limited information. Try running it through tray 1... usually, tray 1 will run at a slower speed. If it changes when you run at a slower speed, it's more likely the fuser. But if it only does it to this letterhead, and not to plain paper, then there's your answer.Comment

Re: hp lj600 m603 smear
Did you perform a half page test to rule out the cartridge?
Did you update firmware for the printer?
Does it happen only on that paper or does it occur with other types?Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Coke in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!".Comment

Re: hp lj600 m603 smear
Did you tried the print half test to rule out the toner cartridge as stated by "prntrfxr"? You mention you put in a new fuser and replace the fixing film, lower roller and bushings. My guess is you never install a new fuser? Seems like the fuser is the cause of the problem>Comment
