Lexmark paper jam

Dear all

I have Lexmark S405 Interpret Priner

Isse

It display is showing Paper Jam!
I carefully checked it when I send the print its feed only one inch and get paper jam

as well as when I power on it is showing paper jam the I pressed the START key then jam disaper

Please advice

So what did you actually do in terms of trying to improve feeding the paper?. There is basics in troubleshooting paper feeding problems that a tech is expected to perform. Let's try by cleaning the pickup rollers and feed paths. demonstrate that you have actually done something.

I have two printers both are same model
In the first attempt I cleaned the pick up rollers and then i changed the feeding unit with other printer then I changed the feed sensor but problem is remaining same

My point is.... when I switch ON the machine, it is initialing and then paper jam is displaying

I do not have service mode to test sensors

please advice to find out fault

This is a cheap inkjet machine i see listed for 130 dollars, so i doubt you will find and service manuals for this machine to test the sensors. In fact this may have only one sensor for paper detection and will use an encoder disk for paper feed monitor, aslo encoder strip for carriage movement detection. If you changed the feeding unit, then there is only one thing left, that is the mainboard, as the feeding unit would usually have the paper detect sensor. Don't really know this machine personally, but most inkjet functions the same way. you will have to be intuitive in troubleshooting this. Inkjets are messy repairs.

Like subaro said....it's a cheap inkjet. Let it go. Move on...........

If the customer really wants it fixed, you'll have to figure it out. Like us real tech's, you'll figure something out.
