Lexmark x1270 doesen't print with black cartridge

    [Electrical] Lexmark x1270 doesen't print with black cartridge

    I have bought a used machine (Lexmark x1270). It can scan, but I have some problems with printing. The seller gave me some old cartridges with it, but he said they are likely dried. So I had bought a new black cartridge, but I couldn't print with it. The printer just put out a blank paper.

    But if I mount that (black) cartridge to the place of the colour cartridge, then the printer can print. The picture is very ugly and blurred, but it is a prove that the cartridge can work. The problem is in the machine. Do you know what I should to do? Did you have a similar problem yet?

      This printer was introduced 10+ years ago. Support from Lexmark on this model ended with Windows 8. The printer cartridge that you bought is worth more than the printer.

          If you like that model a lot, I recommend that you buy another whole machine for $129.

          You'll spend more than that if you find a way to get parts. =^..^=
          If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

              Yes, I know it's old, but I hoped that there is a simple solution, trick or method or something to deal with this issue. Btw the latest driver is good for win 10 as well.

                  yes the best trick is to use this old thing for target practice. and spend a bit of money for a new one. finding parts for that old thing will most likely you cost more than a new one. and since it's an inkjet it's worth nadda. i recommend investing in a laser. then the toner will never dry out, as it's a powder. as opposed to any inkjet on the market.
