    [Misc] lexmarks m1145 acting up

    hey guys..
so my printing company has some lexmark m1145 on hand. mainly to print the "garbage". stuff thats plain text, invoices etc etc.
so i got one that although connected to mains and the board gets power, doesnt not want to boot. screen is dead.

another, has weird issues. when i print say just black text, in the middle of the page and going down vertically its 100% black.
left and right about 2-3 cm from the edges and going also vertically i get printed text but at 80% black.
yes i know, 95% of you would say its a drum issue and you would be correct. thing is, when i go to the printers menu, internal prints like a demo, settings, list menu / fonts and print that, the printout is perfect!

    ideas on either?

Do you have an image sample?
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
