    Samsung CLP300N

Hi to all, I have a old Samsung CLP300N, I don't use it a lot but I need colour prints from time to time. I had never changed toners I had the ones they came with the printer.
I have not used it for 2 months, last time I had print everything was OK, Today I tried to print some labels and the printings had wide vertical stripes black and yellows. I can sent you some scans of the pages if you want, I opened it cleared the tranfer belt, but the problem exists.
    Can you help me?
    Thanks in advance.

    1) post pics of defects... indicating direction of feed.

    2) samsux supplies are known for not going full life cycle

    3) give total page counts.. and life of supplies

    4) they do better when constantly used.. not set aside for months on end.

    5) samsung printers SUCK ASS!

you'd do better buying a Brother color unit...

All my manuals were downloaded in Aug 2008, making your machine at least 11 years old. I would be very surprised if you could get any parts or consumables. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

        Re: Samsung CLP300N

First I want to thank you both for the answers.

I had bought the printer OCT 2017.
If I clean the transfer belt and I want to print 5 same pages the first has little problem with stripes as the printing goes from 1 to 5 the problem gets worse and worse.
As you see below. What it might be?

I can find only toners now here in Greece, nothing else.....
Concerning the brother printers, I had found this one with good price and network Kyocera Ecosys P5021cdn - Skroutz.gr , but for me ( because I don't use it too much ), it was better if I could make the prints look a little better it will be OK , I don't want now to buy a new printer to use it twice a month.
        Thanks in advance.

        Edit
I want to add something to help you understand.
Yesterday I had made the prints I had sent you, and I had switched off the printer. Today I opened the top cover and the transfer belt was full of toner stripes and bands, so I pressed the safety switch of the cover and with the switch pressed to see what is going on, I switched it on, it started to init, the transfer belt was moving from back to the front of the printer some times before the OK position, but the surface was not cleaned of the toner it has, is that normal? Does the belt turning only one direction? I also see and a yellow line on the belt from left to right , if you want please let me understand.
If I clean the belt by hand the first print has very little problem, if I could make all prints looks like the first one, I can handle it, but as I print more of the same pages escecially if there is too much colour or black every new print is worse than the old, so after 5-6 prints the outcome is teribble.
        Thanks again for your help.

Definitely looks like a transfer belt issue to me. Looks like the cleaning blade inside the belt is worn and no longer cleans the belt.

Just looked through the service manual. There are no instructions on removing the transfer belt. This printer was clearly meant to be a throw away when print quality got to bad.

Yes: the transfer belt turns in only one direction.
Yes: there is a neoprene cleaning blade which is not wiping off the transfer belt very well.
Yes: when you manually wipe off the transfer belt it will just get dirty again. That's the 5% of toner that does not transfer to the drum.

I have a CLX-3175 Samsung that does exactly the same thing.
              You can ignore the streaks.
Or you can throw away that printer and buy something else.
But you cannot get a transfer belt assy to fix the problem. And if you could get one it would cost as much a replacement printer.

              =^..^=

I also got the service manual. I had removed the tranfer belt the blade seams Ok but if you rotate it by hand it is not cleaning the belt, also in the compartment where the excess toner is gathered the sponge in some places had been disolved ( you press it and it stays there, not returning back ).
I know I must throw it away but the matter with me is that I NEED a colour printer, but only once every one or two months...

I had understood completelly, no spare parts, I am sure that 90% of my problem is the tranfer belt unit, by the way what is your opinion for Kyocera brand in general, I had posted the link before for the model I had spotted if I cannot fix my samsung?

It sounds to me like you could pay a print shop for a few pages a month, and save yourself a lot of money.

The Kyocera will certainly produce better prints than your Samsung. But keep in mind that these tabletop color printers never get the manufacturers suggested yield on the image units (closer to 50%). =^..^=

In a way you might be right but I live 50km from the nearest paint shop, so this is not a solution, I also have a OKI Laser monochrome printer for my black and white printings.

                        Re: Samsung CLP300N

Hi to all again, I had almost fixed my CLP300N I took off the cleaning plastic blade, and with a very good double sided tape, I put the up down, then there are 2 springs that pushes the metal plate in which the blade is secured, I made them a little longer by pulling them and now the metal plade is pushing the belt better, Now as many prints I will make all are the same.

A friend of mine bought a new printer and he gave me his old Samsung CLP310 is a little newer than mine, he had 2 problems the same with mine, tranfer belt was not cleaned by the blade, and a ghosting in the end of the page.
I had done the same fix, the belt is cleaned very good from print to print, but the ghosting is the same, I am sure that 100% is not from the belt.
As you can see before the fix the newer page had the image from the page already printed, and the ghosting, after the fix only the ghosting had remained.
I sent you 4 scans 2 before and 2 after the fix of the belt.
Please where to look concernig the ghosting?

                        Thanks you all for advance2019-12-17-0001.jpg2019-12-17-0002.jpg2019-12-17-0003.jpg2019-12-17-0004.jpg

Yes, yes I know but if you know please tell me about the above problem.
To see the 10cm of the top of the page I print, printed again faint at the end of the page what is might be? do you know?

I want to add that the ghosting is 19cm, if I measure a sentence for example the same sentence is printing again after 19cm.
