    Bizhub C-353, IU Units interchange...

    Hey.. does anyone know if the Drum (Imaging) units are actually INTERCHANGEABLE on this series with the other C-250/252 and maybe C-253 series? I know they're a different part number, but they physically FIT in the slot.... I have the reset chips for the units, but the machine's not running right now for me to test them. I have a main motor on order and when I put it in, I intend to try the other units, so see if they're accepted by the machine, and it will work.

      Yes they do, simply use the old chip & fit onto the new IU

          It's been awhile but I think I had to change the connector from one unit to the other. Even after chipping display showed to replace IU. Not sure if it was a C253 in C353 or other way around.

          I would be very surprised if the C250/252 would work in a C353 with just the chip.

                  C250/252 IU total difference with C253/353 . the drum and dev uint gear not same cant put in also

                      C200 and C253 is exchangeable, the one has the corona cleaner and the other not.

                          Not to go off topic I wanted to add something that may be helpful to someone. All the toners from C200, 203,253,353 are interchangeable if you use a universal chip and cutting some fins on the toner cartd. Unlike the IU's which will all fit in each machine but give a message the toners will not, you have to cut fins on front of toner cartridge for it to fit in other models.
