C224 Black and white only

is it possible to put 1 c224 work only with B/W? i wanna change a BH 224 for a C224 but i wanna only costumers use only B/W without creating accounts

Not sure if this would be good enough for what you're wanting to do, but if you turn on user authentication with public user you can restrict the public account to black and white for printing and copying and have the machine automatically logged in as public so there wouldn't be any need to put in any codes or anything, color would just be disabled.

You can lock the public acct as black only and set public as the default.

Leave the driver from 224 so user won't print on color. Next set b&w copy as default,then in bit sw hide option of copy color selecting.

To prevent colour printing simply install the 224 driver (not C224)

To prevent colour copying you can hide the colour option with SW 71 HEX 02

There is a C224 no color driver..This is the one I would use, not the 224. You may want to search this site for a topic about how the color option was removed from the panel accidently..Some reverse engineering may help find a way..Might even negate the need for a special driver. E

SW 71 HEX 02 and user auth with public without log in set and restrict colors works perfect
