Konica Minolta C6100 printing issue big white space in middle

What does this indicate having these streaks in middle? Its also got tiny streaks everywhere.

Please print a halftone for each color for more diagnosis.

So I printed an 8.5x11 and it printed fine. But when printing larger 12x18 paper 350gsm its giving that problem. How do I print halftone of each color?

We printed the test page from printer and it came out perfect.

Recently about a week ago I updated fiery, we usually print stored jobs using much older fiery software. Could that cause the issue?

To print a sample of each color go into service mode > test print > print test target 43. print it in full color and on 12x18. this will let you know which color is having truble

I believe that this transfer failure has to do with the condition that the paper is in. It tests the same format with other types of paper, other weights.

We checked paper in an OKI color laser printer and its printing fine. So I dont think its paper. I printed test on thick stock:

We checked paper in an OKI color laser printer and its printing fine. So I dont think its paper. I printed test on thick stock:

With it being all colors I would suspect its something in the 2nd transfer assembly. You could run a test target 53 with black at 255 density and all other colors set at 0 density. then print black only and stop machine before it completes 2nd transfer and see what image looks like on transfer belt. If it looks good and solid black on transfer belt then you would know for sure that you have a 2nd transfer problem

So we figured out what the problem is, we changed the speed of the paper to slow and it started printing without the line. But we are still having a problem that it is tearing/ripping the paper. See below. How do I fix?

Hi,

Have faced the same issue on c6085 machine. The bands (Transfer failure ) was found to be of the 2nd Transfer unit. To improve transferability to media KM has modified the width of the Transfer roller and the Transfer Collar in the 2nd Transfer unit..

I get surprised how KM operates with these issues in the field. $533 for new transfer unit for their poorly designed unit which did not last 1000 copies.

Have you checked the results after replacing with the new Transfer belt unit?

Yes we have faced intermediate paper jamming on all media stock above 200 gsm resulting in error code C-2720 on the old Tansfer belt unit. Still NOT faced this issue after installing the new modified 2nd Transfer belt unit.

Did you tried to swap the I.T.B unit to be sure that is accuse the issue.
