550i SMB scanning..Device can see root shared folder, but we get no specified folder (SMB errors 4352 and 16712683) when scanning to //Folder/scan_folder. Government account, the POC I'm working with cannot answer simple questions like, do you need SMB1, what type of authentication do you use, are you using DFS. I have asked him to log onto the server that will host the scans with the user name and password assigned to the one touch. we can write and delete files to this folder so I am ruling out a name/password issue. What would "hide" the folder from the device? TIA

Re: I series SMB scanning
If I understand it correctly check SMB Browsing setting of machine and enable Sub search. It's in Network/SMB settingA tree is known by its fruit, a man by his deeds. A good deed is never lost, he who sows courtesy, reaps friendship, and he who plants kindness gathers love.

Re: I series SMB scanning
I looked at this hoping it might be related, but all this does is tell the MFP to either look for sub folders, or not to. Enabling this adds time to the search results. So in our situation sub search is on, and browsing does display the sub folder, but we still cant get anything to scan to the designated folder.Comment

I would try IP of Host server instead of Name or vice-versa.A tree is known by its fruit, a man by his deeds. A good deed is never lost, he who sows courtesy, reaps friendship, and he who plants kindness gathers love.

Re: I series SMB scanning
Sounds like a security appliance is blocking access to the share. Ive had a few of these issues, even with the correct permissions it will block access unless its an allowed device. May need to escalate to I.T., which by all means they should be setting up anyway in a goverment funded facility. I know we try to do as much as we can to make the customer content with our work, sometimes its just out of our scope.Comment
