    Bizhub C3070 with C-DC20

    Hi Guys ,

    we get a code C-DC20, but manual is to poor for this error code, the machine is with internal IC-605b print controller. Also Coming sometimes codes C-D0E1.

    a bit of research seems to indicate this is an security error. Likely due to changing firmware or boards within the machine.

      Your model not listed but its worth a shot to put latest firmware on machine

      C-DC20.

      Root Cause
      C-DC20 (CDC20) code at power up.

      Workaround/Fix
      CAUSE: Corrupt firmware.

      SOLUTION: Update firmware to the latest level. The latest version firmware or system software is available via the Konica Minolta Download Selector. Access the Selector from SSD Web Support (CS Expert Support) by clicking on 'Download MSDS, Drivers, Firmware and more'.

        Root Cause
        1. Possible corrupt or failed HDD1, HDD2 or HDD3.
        2. Dipswitch 18-7 set to a 1 HDD Faulty Part Isolation

        Workaround/Fix
        1. Perform the following procedures:
        a. Check to make sure HDD's are installed properly and are the correct HDDs 1TB, re-seat connections of HDD's.
        b Re-seat connectors of CN8 and CN10 of DCPS1
        c. Check for proper voltages (5v & 12v, CN8 pin 10 & CN10 pin 2 respectively of DCPS1) of the HDD's.
        d. Check(system Settings) to see if Faulty part isolation dip switch 18-7 has not tripped, should be 0 (normal operation).
        e. Try performing a Format all Data (see the service manual section 4.21.1, page I-473).
        f. If issue persists replace HDD's (P/N A799M72000) reference the service manual G DISASSEMBLING/REASSEMBLING page G-47.
        2. Set dipswitch 18-7 to 0, by performing the following.
        a. Select Utility/Counter
        b. Press Stop 00, Stop 01
        c. Select System Setting
        d. Select Software DIPSW Setting
        e. Set DIPSW 48-4 to 1
        f. Press Return
        g. Press Exit [SERVICE]
        Note: When the CE password has been configured, entering the password is required to enter the service mode.

          C-D0E1 codes displayed after replacing Overall Control board (OACB).

          Root Cause
          1. OACB not formatted after replacement
          2. Corrupt data on HDD
          3. Failed HDD
          4. Failed SSD


          Workaround/Fix
          1. Complete format of OACB as outlined below.
          Note: OACB FORMAT PROCEDURE is required to be performed after replacing OACB as per Service Manual
          a. Enter the Service mode
          i. Select Utiliity/counter
          ii. Press Stop 00 Stop 01
          b. Select State Confirmation
          c. Select I/O Check Mode
          d. Enter code 99 and multi code 98
          e. Press Start
          2. Format all HDDs
          a. Enter the Service mode
          i. Select Utiliity/counter
          ii. Press Stop 00 Stop 01
          b. Select System Setting
          c. Select Software DIPSW Setting
          d. Set DIPSW 2-0 to 1
          e. Set DIPSW 36-6 to proper setting
          i. If UK-104 connected, set DIPSW36-6 to 1
          ii. If UK-104 is not connected, set DIPSW 36-6 to 0
          Note: Change the controller DIPSW40-7 and the format HDD mode setting DIPSW36-7 as needed
          f. Deactivate the sub power switch (SW2) and main power switch (SW1)
          g. Confirm that the protection chip/2 (CP2) is connected correctly
          i. If UK-104 is connected, with CP2 connect
          ii. If UK-104 is not connected, without CP2 connect
          h. Confirm that 3 or 4 HDDs are connected to the specified position
          i. When UK-104 is connected: 3 HDDs
          ii. When UK-104 is not connected: 4 HDDs
          i. Activate the main power switch (SW1)
          j. Enter the Service mode using "Start-up from power OFF" method below (Service manual I.4.2.1 Start method)
          i. While pressing the Utility/counter button, activate the Sub Power switch (SW2)
          ii. The Service Mode menu should appear
          k. Press [16 HDD Setting]
          l. The [16 HDD Setting] button is grayed out until the HDD becomes usable
          i. When [16 HDD Setting] is grayed out for more than approximately 2 minutes since you enter the Service mode, change the screen to the other service setting such as [08 Firmware Version]. Then select [16 HDD setting] again
          ii. For IC-603, when the button is grayed out more than approximately 5 minutes even after repeated screen transitions of screens, configure DIPSW40-7 to 0. After that, perform the following procedure:
          a. Deactivate the sub power switch (SW2)
          b. Enter the Service mode using "Start-up from power OFF" method below (Service manual I.4.2.1 Start method)
          1) While pressing the Utility/counter button, activate the Sub Power switch (SW2)
          2) The Service Mode menu should appear
          c. Press [16 HDD Setting]
          d. Press [01 Format HDD All Data] from the HDD Setting Menu screen
          1) For the KM in-house production controller (IC-603), the [01 Format HDD Data] button is grayed out until the controller is activated completely (up to 5 minutes)
          2) When you configure the DIPSW40-7 to 0, return the DIPSW40-7 to 1 after you reboot the machine. (Use start-up from power OFF to enter the service mode)
          e. Press [Start] to execute the Format HDD All Data
          1)The following 4 items are displayed as the expanded information
          i) Connected HDD: Number of the connected HDDs
          ii) Data Capacity (GB): Capacity of connected HDDs
          iii) Processing Time(Min.): Assumed required time for formatting
          iv) Expected Finishing Time: Expected time that the format is completed
          f. Confirm that the message "Completed normally" is displayed, and then press [Reboot]
          i) After rebooting the HDD format is completed , change forced format mode DIPSW36-7 back to 0, if applicable
          g. If the message "Completed normally" is NOTdisplayed and "Error" appears, refer to error code displayed in the center of the screen
          i) Troubleshoot and correct the error
          ii) Repeat steps 1 to 11

          3. Replace all HDDs if issue continues to occur
          a. part number AAK7R90200 HDD set (3 pc)
