    Develop Ineo+ 224e

    Good evening All,
    Firstly, I am not a technician, but always like to have a go at fixing things myself first. If it works, great, but when it doesn't, I tried!
    I have a problem with a white line/lines going across the magenta colour only.
    I've already replaced with OEM:
    - toner;
    - drum;
    - developing unit;
    - image transfer belt.
    I cleaned the laser lens, but no improvement whatsoever.

    Is there anything else I could try?

    Thank you in advance!

    Hello,

    since you have already replaced all/most relevant parts, I only see one "guilty" part left: LSU ("print head")

    There are two versions.
    OLD: A161R70922 / NEW: A5C4R70022

    Corresponding there exist two different boards to connect PHD:
    OLD: A161H00800 / NEW: A5C1H00900

    Good luck!
    Ro

    This is good but old model. You should have asked before investing more than machine price in parts. Now it's time to move forward or call a real tech to trace your steps and find out what is wrong.
    Very knowledgeable tech with good reputation is near you should you need one search for copier tech this site.

    If you take out the drum and look at the charge grid. if its dirty in that spot where the white is then its a dev issue. when you replace the dev you have to clean the grid as well, or put in a new drum at the same time as you replace the dev unit. also use the cleaner stick to clean the PH.

    Pull the drum back out and shine a flashlight in there and look at the opening leading to the laser glass. Perhaps there is something stuck in that area blocking the laser. Also, it's possible that there might still be junk stuck to the laser glass. It wouldn't be the first (or last) time that something got stuck to the glass that the wand couldn't clean off.

    This does look like toner on the laser glass.

    Remove the mag drum & dev then visually check / clean the glass with a moist cloth (not the tool) sometimes that tool doesn't do the job.

    I am happy to confirm that I found where the issue was!
    There was some residue, possibly glue from the cleaning wand on the laser glass. I managed to get it all cleaned, glass polished and the white patch is gone!
