    Kyocera TASKalfa011i

    Hey Guys,

Konica Tech here with a Kyocera problem.
We've got a TASKalfa 3011i at our customers site that will make a grey line on the left side of the back. Interestingly, it will happen all the time if we do single prints, but if you copy like 3-5 Pages at once, the grey line will be only on the first or rarely the second page. Also it is odd that the line will always be the same strength, there is no difference at all. This might be a common issue on these machines so i thought of asking here.

We already cleaned the machine the best we could.
Distance from edge of paper to the grey line: 3.3cm
    Diamter of grey line: 1cm

Below i added a scan image of the issue, marked it with A3 and A4.
    S45C-923071410000.pdf

Thanks for the help in advance!

Looks like aftermarket toner contaminating the transfer roller.

There was a change to the shape of the Transfer roller area. I can't find the Bulletin, but that was the symptom.
      Hope that helps !

Did you say that this was genuine toner? It looks like knock-off toner. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Hi, yes this is genuine Toner. It actually is a Olivetti d-Copia 3201MF, which is the exactly same machine. And we have only put in toner coming directly from konica minolta. Unless our customer tried to save some money and didnt buy from us, this is supposed to be genuine toner.

So there is a transfer roller set or something that is possible to purchase that we can order? Any chance you can get me the part number or something?

Yeah that was our first guess but this customer bought genuine toner form us in a normal ryhtm so there should be only genuine toner inside. When we Throughougly cleaned the whole machine, including the transfer rollers, the same image error appears on the very first print. So either there was some toner or whatever stuck inside the transfer roller before and damaged the trasnfer roller so hard already or this is not a problem.

ok well this looks not liek the issue at all, considering the distance from paper edge to grey line and it only being on one side of the paper. Thanks for the tipp though!

Take care for this thread and you will find your answer.
Both systems are Tomcat series and you can get same issue on all Tomcat systems...

New DV and DK not needed!
Remove the complete mono component toner from dv unit by vaccumer and refill by U130 with brand new original toner.

This is a well known problem from Matsuri and Tomcat range by using "compatible" toner or if we have low usage from original toner.
After mounting from new toner cartridge the new toner is not properly mixed with the old one, the toner mixture then feels like e.g. pudding...
