Hi out there,
this is (unusually) not a cry for help, but just a bit of a rant!!
SC899!!!!
What is it with Ricoh!!
Since way way way back Ricoh MFD's (was it the 4000/5000 range when it began?) we have been blighted with the accursed SC899. Countless "patches" have been issued - that dont work, we are talking possibly around 15 years and Ricoh still cannot get this sorted.
Ok, so I understand other machines have their codes for this, some of us will recall HP printers throwing the error 79, but hey - they fixed it. Ricoh seem to be unable to fix this conclusively, would it be beyond the talents of the software design team to create a filter to delete a corrupt file on reception? The situation is crazy, five generations of machines, all with the same issue - I guess it wouldnt be so bad if the machine actually told the users " corrupt print or data file detected, contact your IT support"?
Not only this, we all have to put up with clueless IT support guys scratching their backsides and just blaming the machines!!!
Pheeew!! thats a relief..... - and if any of you does have a workaround on thsi I am sure many of us would be able to sleep better...(lol)
Kind Regards
Steve.
