Depends on what your definition of "care" is? Do I care to try to have an honest debate with them? No. Do I care to point or their BS? Yes. Do I care that the political threads are no longer on the home page? Nope, in fact, I think it's a good thing that they aren't. Most folks aren't here for that. Yes, I am quite happy that the political threads are off the front page. I do not want Copytechnet branded as an extremist political site (even if it seems to be becoming the case). I would very much like the focus to remain on office equipment. I hope we can do that. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I agree, what started as some "political" back and forth has escalated into an all out cut-n-paste war. We keep the search engines from crawling that forum but too much was spilling over to the home page which was negatively impacting us in the SEO world. To be honest, I thought it would die down but it never did. We'll run like this for a little bit and see how it goes, I've thought about creating a "politics zone" forum specifically for that stuff so users can still Rant & Rave without being drowned out by the noise but I'm going to hold off and see how this works."Remain calm. I'm in favor of the separate Politics Zone forum.
I guess I'm just disappointed that our members have completely lost their polite manners, and want to cut each others throats. I'm in favor of polite debate, but most of the time it seems to degrade into pointless insult hurling.

I can take it and have a good laugh every now and then if I peek around the offtopic area. On the other hand I don't see much meaningful content between groups that are caught in their own bubble and just "logging" stuff from more and less reliable sources. I don't mind as long as we can all have a beer together at the end of the day without ending up a in an old fashioned physical bar fight.
Still, I'd probably just refer these kind of topics to other websites that are more suitable for politics / world events and save myself the waste of database storage and possible loss of website reputation #nuthouse
But before this is top priority I think this site also needs some update to prevent spambots and some helping hands for kicking out spambots who already passed the registration.

Can you enable a "Question / Answere" feauture in vBulletin for the registration form?
I think our folks could answere a question like "What does OPC mean (three words)?" while this is pretty effective against bots.Comment

As I stated in another post, I am very happy with the change. That crap had no business on the home page.
And if there ever was any respectful debate going on, I never saw it. What I saw was a bunch of a-hole comments made by the same group of a-holes bickering over their political opinions. Never solved anything, never changed the world.
I'm glad its off the home page and assigned into this little cesspool.
Separate Politics Zone forums or a chat room would probably helpful as well.
