c6500 error c-4850

Hallo,

Symptoms:

• Engine switch on, -> warming up, -> ready to print appears
• Start a printjob over controler IC-408 -> appears message: „printer busy“
• no copy – message C-4850 pop up during scan always
• all testpatterns and listprints are possible without errors

If disable the Harddisk with software switch 02-01 -0 then I have the following situation:

• print is possible
• copy is possible
• everyone error during printing such as, toner empty or paperjam-> Engine stops-> corrective action-> it’s not possible to continue the job
• a big job with 100 sheet’s A3 stops after 50 sheets with message: „engine memory full“
• incomming job’s with different papersettings can’t start after corrective action with „detailcheck“

Following part’s i have replaced:

• OACB
• IMCB
• IPB
• PRCB
• IFB
• 4 x HDD (Harddisk)

Wasnt this a firmware issue?What level of firmware are you running..also what version of system software is the Fiery running?...Si

I have checked with firmware vers.40, 50 and 60.
The fiery runs with 2.0

This problem c-4850 also appears without Fiery.

this is a very early pdf but has a few entries relating to 4850






i am aware that the firmware you are running is way past these just for your information more than anything else

Hallo,

i have solved this problem.

The engine has self change the HDD to "faulty part isolation" with software-switch 18 bit 7 to 1.

After HDD-aktivation with SW-switch 2-0 to 1 and 18-7 to 0 appears error C-D0E1.

I replaced the HDD/K and i carry out "Replacement of the Hardisk" from service-manual and that was fine.
