Re: Remember when ?
We use to race carts made of wood and bearings. We would get the ball bearing from the auto garages that had scrap engines ect, then we would make a sort of rectangular wood frame, say 3' x 2'. then add a piece of staright 1" x4" to the frame. on the front of that 1x4, we would attach a 2x4 and place a bolt and nut in the centre of both so this will move when a rope is attached to both ends of the 2x4 as the steering mechanism. two smaller ball bearings wiil be attached to that front piece and two bearings on the rear frame . [similar to a car really]
We would go to the steep hills and race . Guys would run off the road into the ditches and bruises and displaced arm ect, as those things will go fast.
hope you did not get bored with my description of the device. My parents would strictly forbid me and my brothers from such and i had to be a spectator.
