The US economy has reached the lower bound of 0% and will soon reach the upper bound of how much new debt it can take on, $2k person/per family earning less than $75,000.00 for every IRS legal US citizen is a staggering new debt.

... for sure, some people will blow it quickly, there will be fraud, but hopefully most families will be able to use the money wisely and recognize what a gift they have rec'd.

President elect Biden endorses the $2,000.00 stimulus cheque. Whether this money goes out before Biden's presidency begins or paid in installments later (preferred) this gigantic amount of new money borrowed will strain the gov'ts ability to finance its debt.

... this has to mean higher taxes.

... I do not know, probably. No reason to think that a $600.00 to 2,000.00 benefit is not taxable.

... I do not know if the Biden administration has had a chance to see the full accounting of the US gov't. The Trump administration has been referenced numerous times in not making the transition as helpful as it should be. It is hard to make policy without a full understanding of the problem.

Americans are most likely to name President Donald Trump as their most admired man as 2020 comes to a close, edging out his predecessor Barack Obama in the annual Gallup survey released Tuesday.




Gates has finished in the top 10 a total of 21 times, while Obama has now done so 15 times and the Dalai Lama 11 times. Biden has been in the top 10 once before, in 2018, while Fauci and James are new to the list.

Carter finishes just outside the top 10 this year but made the 2019 list.
