I remember seeing a picture of that punk who shot up a church. I also noticed that in addition to holding the Confederate flag, there was a huge Gold's Gym banner on the wall. I don't remember anyone protesting Gold's Gym.

My point is that the whole anti Confederate Flag/Statue protesting started based on that one picture. If a known racist have a flag makes that flag a symbol of racism , then that same racist having a Golds banner/flag proudly displayed on his wall should also be a basis for calling Golds a place for racists since the picture makes it obvious that they have racist members. I wonder what % of their membership is white? At least that is the logic that the race baiters use when they call other people racist.

Do you honestly believe that people started associating the confederate flag with racism based on a single picture? I think it may be based on the many years whites kept black people as slaves under that flag. And maybe also because these same whites were willing to fight a war under this flag to keep the "right " to own slaves.

I am totally OK with all three of your links and agree with Canada's position.

No gov't wants foreigners to enter their country without permission.

If these refugees are forced to exit the USA, they cannot not expect to be able to walk into Canada. Plus it is winter up here and it is damm cold!

I think the links you are posting are more of a public service announcement to educate Salvadorians not to expect Canada to welcome them without pre-approval and standard immigration procedures.

I don't know where you got the impression that I think my government is "pure"
You seem to think that I like one person in politics better than another.
I feel no need to defend any political member. They do nothing for me.
So post anything you like, it really doesn't matter to me.

As long as the USA threatens Canada with unfair changes to NAFTA, US politics are a big concern to all Canadians. US News dominates our national media. The US has proposed more trade sanctions against Canada than any other nation including Mexico.

In a surprise setback to to President Trump's trade policies, the US International Trade Commission (based in the USA and staffed by Americans) ruled against the US Commerce Dept's 300% tariff on commercial airplanes manufactured in Canada and sold to US airlines.

To suggest that the Obama administration did not produce any budgets for eight years is a denial of facts.



President Trump has to produce a budget by Feb 9th or risk another gov't shutdown. Currently he has threatened that no DACA deal is possible unless he gets $25B for the wall. A wall that was supposed to be paid for by Mexico, not Americans.

Proposing a budget and actually passing a budget into law are two totally different things! If a budget had actually been passed then a continuing resolutions to keep government open would not have been necessary! You are the one that denies facts. But that is obvious, as you want to equate a year's old trade contention started by "Boeing" , to Trump's trade policy, long before Trump even announced he was running for President. And good for Trump, no wall no DACA! PUT UP THE WALL!

President Obama was at least able to deliver budget proposals on time. They only did not get passed due to the obstruction Republican party of "No" opposing every thing Obama did during the last four years of his presidency.

The Wall is both a marginally effective and very expensive 15th century solution to America's complex southern border security problems. President Trump is intentionally causing high levels of anxiety to 800,000 undocumented DACA citizens of the USA as leverage to coerce the Democrats to agree to funding a Wall that most citizens do not want.

If DACA deportations begin on a large scale, I can not even imagine the slow moving train wreck of bad media the White House will get leading up to the 2018 mid term elections.

Trump's loyal base of 30% of Americans might stick with him but 70% of the American population will be so enraged that they will vote in droves to remove Republicans from the House and Senate in Nov 2018.

Already many experienced Republican politicians are retiring at the earliest opportunity as they know their chances of re-election are poor.

DACA is Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals. They are not citizens. Childhood arrivals are those brought into the country as children by their parents. Most of them are now adults.

I remember during the Obama administration, we were getting train loads of kids delivered to our southern border. I didn't understand it then, and no one really gave a good explanation for it. I just remember hearing that there were thousands of undocumented and unaccompanied minors coming from all over south America... and that Obama was taking them all instead of turning them around. Does any one else remember that?

Could that be what DACA is about? Obama shipping in a huge democratic voting base for future use (both as a selling point, then as a voting base)?

So why are we acting like these kids were "brought" here against their will? These kids were part of a ploy. They come up and the dems let them stay. Then they bring their parents up maybe? Chain migration?

I don't think we should let the "dreamers" stay automatically. I agree that we should have some kind of path for them, but it shouldn't be easy for them to stay.
