    Funny Notes on Copiers

    Got to this account where customer taped this note on it, to funny!


    THE COPIER IS OUT OF ORDER

    YES- We called the serviceman
    YES- He will be in today
    NO -We cannot fix it
    NO- We do not know how long it will take
    NO- We do not know what caused it
    NO-     We do not know who broke it
    YES- We are keeping it
    NO- We do not know what you are going to do now

          Last note I found was "Copier down again", all I did was turn it on. . . .

              Not on the copier but on the filing cabinet next to it there was a small child's learn to read "A is for apple, B is for ball" book with a note that said "Filing Clerks Reference Manual"
              At least 50% of IT is a solution looking for a problem.

                  For a while, the salesmen volunteered to maintain the filing, perhaps thinking that they could glean sales leads from the workorders. But when we tried to retrieve some of those old workorders we discovered that salesmen use a different alphabet than service techs (or anyone else for that matter). The workorders were filed mostly randomly. We had to turn them down on doing the filing after that.

                  And we did have a local phone book hanging from a scanner cable, attached to the file cabinet as a alphabetization reference. It might have worked if anybody had opened it. =^..^=
                  If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
                  1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
                  2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
                  3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
                  4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
                  5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
