House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy failed to win enough support to become speaker during a first round of voting.
It was the first time in 100 years that the majority party failed to coalesce around a candidate in the initial vote and forced a second round.
McCarthy has vowed to hold as many votes as needed to win the support of 218 Republicans and become speaker.

Thats the problem.Republicans seem to have not put up enough of a fight with the dems bloated 1 sided agenda that has caused damage to the economy and the people . One example , look at the boarder , Abbot is fighting this alone no help from Washington republicans . This leadership fight goes to show you that unlike democrats who are sheep lead by a few , some Republicans want it done different .
