I not sure if it was on this thread or the thread Let the Truth be Known, but one of the liberals, possibly one of the Canadians, tried to say there was no way Tesla was going to move their Milpitas Plant not knowing that Mercury News announced on the 10th of this month they were.Comment

California gives Tesla ‘essential workforce’ exemption from new Covid-19 health orders
- The California Department of Public Health says its new Covid-19 order -- the “Limited Stay at Home Order” -- does not apply to Tesla employees who are now deemed essential workers.
- Previously, Tesla and CEO Elon Musk defied state and county health orders and kept their factory running when health orders said it should wind down to minimum basic operations.
- Musk has clashed with and insulted California since the pandemic emerged, comparing California to a sports team that has been winning too long.
Musk’s long relationship with California soured this spring during the first wave of the coronavirus. When Alameda County shutdown orders stopped production at Tesla’s plant in Fremont, Musk defied local health officials by closing late and reopening early, blasting the rules as “fascist” on an earnings call. He briefly sued the county and threatened to move Tesla’s Palo Alto headquarters to Texas or Nevada. Musk disclosed on Twitter that he had Covid-19 himself last month.

Germany will go into a "hard" national lockdown, starting next week and continuing through the Christmas period, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said Sunday, after agreeing to stricter measures with state governments to stem a wave of coronavirus cases.
Germany to go into national lockdown over Christmas to stem rise in Covid-19 cases - CNN
As of next Wednesday, all non-essential shops, services and schools will close until January 10, and Christmas Day gatherings will be reduced from 10 people to only five from two different households.
The new measures take aim at traditional festivities: Christmas church services will be subject to prior registration with no singing allowed, alcohol is to be banned from all public spaces and an annual New Year's Eve fireworks display will be canceled. Some states are also implementing additional measures, such as Bavaria, which will have a 9 p.m. curfew.
German Finance Minister Olaf Scholz has pledged economic help for all businesses affected by the lockdown.
