Canada has backed the US in many of its wars. Korea, although Canada didn't officially join the Vietnam war, thousands of Canadians joined the US soldiers there. Afghanistan, the Gulf war etc.

That's a good thing. But it misses the point. Canada and other NATO countries can't spend very little on their national defense and let the USA carry the load. Your country is not prepared for a major war. We are.

No doubt that MANY countries are taking advantage of the USA when it comes to national defense. I don't really blame them for trying to get away with it. My problem is with our past presidents who allowed them to get away with it. Trump is the only one who called them on it. Trump is the greatest president in my lifetime. By far. Get ready for 4 more years.

No doubt that MANY countries are taking advantage of the USA when it comes to national defense. I don't really blame them for trying to get away with it. How does one get to the point where you idolise a person who claims to be a great businessman, but has been bankrupt multiple times, who has contractors build things for him and then refuse to pay them, who sanctions children being separated from their parents and put into cages, etc

Why do right wingers fear universal health care so much. It is known it would cost individuals less than health insurance run by for profit insurance companies. It seems irrational to me to go against your own interests just because one thinks people are looking for a "free lunch".

The only people that I know and have known since before ACA was passed are paying many times as much for health insurance as they were before. That includes low income individuals who are now having to pay for their states version of Medicaid through the ACA exchanges which they used to get for free through the welfare office.

As for universal health care, you are forgetting about the death, I mean services approval, boards. There are people who used to come to the US from Canada to get elective procedures dome that in Canada they would have to wait months sometimes years to get approved for in Canada because Canada rationed those procedures and would not allow self pay.

... no, you will just be denied access to an increasing range of goods and services. You will also feel social pressure to conform while constantly be reminded that your selfish behavior is putting your loved ones at risk.

... after a month most people will just give up their objections and accept it. You are living in a pandemic, wearing a mask will significantly reduce the chances of you and others near you getting infected.
