The truth is that President Trump was one of the first world leaders to try to take action to protect citizens from SARS-CoV-2. In fact he took action before WHO declared it a public health emergency and over a month before WHO declare it a pandemic.

As for the Obama/Biden administration waited for six months after the swine flu (H1N1 virus) had infected millions of Americans and killed more than 1,000 people in the United States before declaring it a public health emergency. If you're trying to make the case this pandemic would be worse under Obama, you're wrong.

Obama got with the experts and developed a playbook on how to handle a pandemic.

Obama would have used that playbook, not thrown it out, like Trump did.
Obama wouldn't have slashed CDC staff in China just before the pandemic, like Trump did.
Trump administration slashed CDC staff inside China prior to coronavirus outbreak
And Obama would have listened to the experts, unlike Trump.

Trump's actions did not prevent 230,000 deaths. Trump has the worst handling of this on the planet. His own people say "we're not going to be able to control the pandemic".

Yet, we do know of a country of about 125 million people that has kept the death toll under 2,000 people so far.
