Offshore wind energy consumes very little fossil fuel yet can power millions of homes. America has one of the longest coast lines in the world and the potential low cost Mega watt hours are enormous.

A floating wind farm at large scale is ideal for most US coastlines with little environmental impact.
Just like they were all for offshore windfarms until they found out they were going to put it offshore from marthas vineyard. They could not have that!

You should move to california. At least you could be among other people who think like you. You obviously do not like florida and I know most floridians do not think like you.

Is the governor democrat or republican? Answer that question and you'll have a pretty good clue as to which way the state leans. With that said, not many people fall in the same category as bsm2 as only about 1% of the population is legally insane.

You'll get no argument from me that the states with the highest covid rates are run by republican governors. That's a fact. And the reason for that is that too many republicans don't trust the vaccine. Personally, I think that's foolish because the data is clear that the vaccine is safe. What's not safe is not being vaccinated. That debate is over.

Also, there's a high black population in the south and they don't trust the government, either.

PS - Some of the repubican governors and politicians are saying some crazy shit about the vaccine. Some of it is embarrassing.

I live in California and there are currently less wind farms now than there were at one time. Too many people consider them an eyesore and they are too costly to maintain. Most of thee wind farms that used to be in Altamont Pass are gone. There are a few left on the mountains flanking Tehachapi Pass but not ass many as there used to be and the ones between the pass and Mojave are all gone. They can no longer compete cost-wise with the massive solar farms being built and already built on major portions of the Southern California desert. Solar is the way to go. Too bad you don't have mush open space in Florida to build solar farms.

Florida is building one of the largest solar farms in the US
you should REALLY REALLY learn how to Google I think you brain is mush

Six Florida municipal utilities, including those in Orlando and Kissimmee, are joining the growing number of power companies able to provide their customers with solar power, a cleaner source of energy.

By the end of June, two of five new solar farm sites, the Harmony Solar Energy Center in St. Cloud and the Taylor Creek Solar Energy Center in east Orange County, are expected to begin commercial operation.

Even in Alberta, our most radical right wing province the people are pissed off with the conservative premier for not introducing enough measures to help curb covid
