I really liked working on these they were sso easy after a stressfull CLC1000 service call ! In analog machines the old NP6650 was hard to beat, also the desktop np 1010-1020 was a great little workhorse.
We have all voted for the worst copier ever, why dont we switch it up with:
What was the BEST COPIER EVER MADE?
I cast my vote for the Kyocera 2530, 3530, 4040, 3035, and 4035. You can\'t kill them things. And, the print systems actually work!
C'mon, 10871087, you know Service is the real product.
That said,
For Quality Ricoh's 5006 was awesome.
Can't beat it for copy color matching.
Superior dithering patterns.
I believe you could even connect it with an XJ Fiery and the right interface kit.
Had several in print shops, right next to brand new Gestetner 213s and customers prefered the 5006 output.
For Volume 7050. The Colonel, Konica's premier digital B&W. Fine first effort for a mid-high volume engine. We still have a few in the field.
In the color world, I still like 8050 and C500. With proper service and customer training, a beast in the office environment.
Still on that platform, C6500 serves well.
I see the Canon 9800 in here a couple of times, but lets face it the 9800 is a glorified 8530 with a big empty box on the side that held a few reams of paper. The 8530 is pretty much a fast 6650, now the NP6650, that was a machine that ran like crazy. As far a small machines the Mita 111 did the job better than most with fewer problems, just the ocassional cleaning. But after that Mita kinda stuck their foot up their rear and took what didn't work from the last model and added it to the next gen until they had a machine that needed constant cleaning, always jammed and had bad CQ. How about a Mita 1205 with a document feeder? LOL what a waste and hope it never needed work done on it.
Is the glass half full or half empty? I say neither. The glass is obviously full, full of potential. The potential to hold more water or the potential to quench a thirst. Life is all about how you see it.
They werr great till the little brake, broke for the platten and the top would over run and could fly off the machine. For a small machine though nothing beat the toshiba 3301, another machine that worked great and made you big dollars was the Sharp 8100 and 8260, they just kept going and going and going............. Good stuff
The thread for the worst copiers ever is a few klicks further :P
