Teach your customers how to clean the charge wire, replace the waste bottle, clean the scanner glass, then you will never hear from them again, unless they do something really, really dumb.I know what I know better than anyone else knows what I know.Comment

I triple count the Canon iR3300 series! They are so reliable I can sell and service these 5 year old machines refurbished with a penny a page service contracts and make good money. The drum rebuild kits last longer than OEM's, I regularly get 70-90K out of them. I love these machines and will greatly miss them when they become obsolete!Comment

Several years ago, I looked after a fleet of 10 Minolta DI-520's all at the same location. They were so good, I actually liked going there for service calls.... plus the chicks were hot at reception.... always a plus!
Those boxes really convinced me of Minolta being a top machine.
These days I would have to say the new Sharp MXM1100 Hercules box is really, really good. Have 2 clients, each have done almost 2Mil in less than a year, with no drama's at all. Very fast, very quiet (no clutches anywhere... all motors etc etc) and very reliable.
Overall, big Sharp & Minolta fan. Sharp MX color boxes are very good too.
And the cougar series and the old, SF 7320, 7370 were some good small machines.Comment

I'll vote for the Ricoh FT5535 and variants.
Near the end of the analog period...these machines were no frills, basic B/W copiers. They modernized Ricoh's transfer belt, OPC & charge roller technology. They had reliable process control & toner add systems.sigpic"Someday, I'm going to make a big invention." ~ Chester Carlson ~Comment

In my opinion, the KonicaMinolta Di 850 is the best running copier I have ever seen. It will run PM to PM (500K). I have heard these models going strong at 18 million clicks.Comment
