Although the Af1035 and Af1045 (and corporate variants) were the best version of the 35/45 cpm Ricoh boxes, I'd agree with an earlier poster that the B022 (Af1022/1027 et. al.) series, and subsequent B089 (Af2022/2027 et. al.) series were the best made. Some of my co-workers leave these boxes untouched except for PCU's for 300-400K. If you PM them at 120 like you are 'spose to they'll run forever. I even have one for myself at home. The newer Af3025 and Af3030 that replaced the B089 models and added a "rebuildable" PCU seem to be less reliable, as do all the Af3xxx models I've seen. Sometimes I'm glad we don't sell them any more.

I agree with Ace on the Ricoh Aficio 1022/1027 2022/2027 series. These babies run, and run, and run.
"A Maytag" is the phrase I use to describe the performance/reliability of this fantasticly engineered series. (Are you listening Xerox Engineering Dept. slackers?)
When I get a sales call matching this series criteria, and the prospecting caller hears I offer a one (1) year warranty FREE of charge with the purchase, that is usualy followed by a common response of "How fast can iI get it."
The DOWN side for we resellers are to not expect service calls after the sale. I am used to customers who have these units, going well over 100k copies between service calls. The PCU is rated at 60k but typicaly go well over 100k. I had the fuser units doing over 200lk.

DOH!! This freak of engineering can put a tech out of a job, BUT we can thank the Xerox junk for putting food on the table.

has to be the sharp "cougar" range AR 280 etc. never broke down, never needed drums, dev or fuser rollers, just kept on going.
Tip for the day; Treat every problem as your dog would.....If you cant eat it or f*ck it....then p*ss on it & walk away...

                      Best copier Ever

Worked on most brands and models over the last 34 years but i have to say that the Kyocera KM 4035 is by far the most reliable copier that i have ever worked on.

                            Best Copier ever...

I would have to pile in with the Canon iRC2880/3080 range for current machines, we have loads of these in the field and all we ever hear from the customer is a call for toner.

I would also give honorable mention the the GP405 and the iR2200/3300 ranges from Canon as well. They just go and go and go, some have been round the block more times than Britany Spears and they are still going...

Several years ago, I looked after a fleet of 10 Minolta DI-520's all at the same location. They were so good, I actually liked going there for service calls.... plus the chicks were hot at reception.... always a plus!
Those boxes really convinced me of Minolta being a top machine.
These days I would have to say the new Sharp MXM1100 Hercules box is really, really good. Have 2 clients, each have done almost 2Mil in less than a year, with no drama's at all. Very fast, very quiet (no clutches anywhere... all motors etc etc) and very reliable.
Overall, big Sharp & Minolta fan. Sharp MX color boxes are very good too.

These are and were superb units. They should re release that unit forever. We would all make an easier living!!!!
