Tesla is set to deliver 50 additional Tesla Semi units to PepsiCo, expanding the company's electric fleet in California. PepsiCo will soon have a total 86 Tesla Semis in their fleet. PepsiCo's new Tesla Semi fleet will operate out of PepsiCo's manufacturing and distribution facility in Fresno, CA, and includes the deployment of 75 Ford E-Transit vans across the state. Tesla is also providing charging infrastructure, including eight 750-kilowatt chargers and two Tesla Megapack Battery Energy Storage Systems. The expansion follows PepsiCo's successful integration of Tesla Semis into its business through a previous pilot program. The Tesla Semi has demonstrated its capability by outperforming other electric trucks in the North American Council for Freight Efficiency's Run on Less event, achieving over 1000 miles per day while hauling heavy beverages.
