Maybe, but we're not going to let you have the last word! He must be one of those techs that don't put screws back in, end up with too many or too few. lol
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Coke in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!".

Wow that was probably the best copier related comeback ever. If you said I strip all the screws too, I would have had to challenge you to MORTAL KOMBAT!

Well, I bet your copiers just pretend to be sleeping when you start talking about your feelings....

.... and your copiers quit before they get the job done ... then they are proud about how fast they are.

I'm not paid as well as the guys so I cant afford to have them professionally done and I really dont have the time. I'm would be kind of suspicious about someone with perfect nails in our industry, unless she was in sales. Hope that doesnt ruin your fantasy/opinion of us.

At least my copier's ovaries haven't dried up and no one wants them any more.....

Thats not fair! I thought it would be equal pay for equal work in our profession!
I'm also suspicious of guys who wear white shirts to work, they cant be willing to dive into a choked up cleaning station and clean it out properly.

lol...Now I know you have issues, dude...copiers are machines not people. I discuss my feelings with my friends. Do you talk to copiers? Really? If your customers call you back, its probably so they can have a good laugh watching you talking to their machine. Machines dont sleep either, its called economode.

I have some respect for someone who would dare to wear a white shirt when dealing with toner and the morning coffee in the car. Though, I do hold techs, who carry every tool they own, have very clean nearly unused tools, or a complete matching set of tools, as suspect.

As I tell customers who ask why I wear a suit and a white shirt, I fix the machine with my hands not my shirt.

And as for women in the industry, never came across one in Scotland apart from one of my team meambers who acts like one!
But a good few years back there was a damn good female trainer at Panasonic.

                          Harumph,

Even when I worked on liquid machines and toner-blowing Mita & Royal pigs, i've worn short sleeve white shirts cuz:

                          1. Customers think I know what i'm doing and must be a supervisor.

                          2. I know how to get dirty by knowing what not to touch.

                          3. White short sleeve shirts are the cheapest ones.
I know what I know better than anyone else knows what I know.

I worked with one and she was a very good tech.

My first boss went to goodwill (for those of you from another country, who may not know what this is: It's a store that specializes in used donated clothing. His shirts were about $1.50 to 2.) to buy his and he always carried an extra in the van in case he spilled coffee on it (which he did at least once a week)or got "dusted" (toner). He said, "that way if I mess them up, I dont have to cry". I prefer to wear the company polo rather than the white button up shirt. Every company I worked for that had the white shirt never had misses sizes. They were exclusively men's shirts. For those who dont know, they are not cut the same way and we dont look good in them. So when companies began having the polos with the logos, I jumped for joy.

Ive been in the copier industry since 1995. Started out as an assembler for a reman facility and worked my way up to a senior tech.
It was a great way to learn cuz every sub assembly was rebuilt and we saw things that tech support and the engineers had never seen as far as issues.
The facility has now been closed for a few years and I now am doing field service. I have to say it was quite a transition from the factory, dealing with the customers and not being able to grab a part off of a scrap machine in the warehouse to fix a problem right away but I think I do alright.
