Re: peaking skids argg
We've recently (within the last 6 mos or so) begun to Prefight EVERY machine that comes to us from either Ricoh/Savin or Konica. Too many of both bad out of the box - does not impress the customer when unboxing on location and it doesn't work! We've had bent frames, broken optics, bad psu, bad pcb, etc, etc, etc......Comment

Re: peaking skids argg
We've had similar experiences with Konica Minolta.
C360's stacked on top of one another. We kicked up a stink about it, as not only can it severely damage the machine frame, but who in their right mind would want to HAVE to lift a 100kg brick from shoulder height to the ground?
Turned out the freight company/ies were stacking them to fit more into the trucks.Comment

Re: peaking skids argg
I happened to be on hand when one of the trucks arrived.
When the driver opened the back, at least 6 of the boxed copiers were laying on their sides and at odd angles. He seemed a little surprised when I started snapping photos. If any of that machinery was busted up, I wasn't taking it. And I did unbox every piece of that order before the truck left. Surprisingly, no damage. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Re: peaking skids argg
We had a ricoh come in that looked fine but was throwing laser motor codes. Pull the laser and the top half of the laser motor is just rattling around in the enclosure. The machine had to be upside down for some part of it for that motor to come out of it's housing like that.Comment
