Maybe I'm looking at a different picture. How can you even see the sep roller? The feed roller is driven by a belt attached to the PU roller. The sep roller is beneath the feed roller and PU roller. I still don't see the problem.

Truth is that if you had worked on Konicas, you would have known the black ribbed roller was a pick up roller. They have it over the sep roller which is obviously wrong. Konica even used an additional weight over the pick up roller years ago which was when I was last around them and tipped me off to the machine type.

Viewing that picture as posted, the problem is the Feed roller is switched with the Pickup roller, the Separation roller is present, but barely visible behind the metal plate. Pickup roller should be the "tire with the tread", as one of the locals so eloquently put it, and the feed roller should be the red/orange roller that is always backordered at the most inopportune time.
I have seen the pickup roller replaced with an orange roller, function was fine. Maybe not supposed to be that way, but it worked.
But the picture posted shows the "treaded tire" in the feed roller position, which is loads of fun if you want to screw with somebody, but it doesn't function very well.

I once found a desiccated potato wedge under one of those. It was a MP4054. In a prison, in a wing where the prisons are locked up 23hrs a day. Fucking guards.

I did this in a doctor's office. They had carpet.

Multiply that amount by 15 and that's what I did in the headquarters of Army Special Ops Command.

As someone who was probably only in the part time adequate forces, I hope they didn't give you too much crap for that.
