Copier says open component but every component is closed

      The black trim panel below the LCT access door is missing, which makes me wonder if there was some damage done to that area of the machine, possibly in transport.
      A Ricoh Service Tech for 7 year. A Konica Minolta Service Tech for 7 years. Now, KM service manager for 4 years.
      My Ricoh knowledge is slowly dwindling away at this point. Many things have been lost to time...

        Remove 1 screw from small cover on rear of machine and check to make sure connectors are tight from base to copier.

            Just because that lower jam door looks closed does not mean that it is. Most people close that door by lifting at the front. Try pressing in on the back top corner where the door switch is actually located.

              Also if you still can't get message to go away you could remove the small cover on rear, disconnect both connectors from base and use just tray 1 & 2 until you get a qualified technician to repair. * NOTE: when ever connecting or disconnecting wires make sure power is off!
