Copier says open component but every component is closed

Also if you still can't get message to go away you could remove the small cover on rear, disconnect both connectors from base and use just tray 1 & 2 until you get a qualified technician to repair. * NOTE: when ever connecting or disconnecting wires make sure power is off!

Just because that lower jam door looks closed does not mean that it is. Most people close that door by lifting at the front. Try pressing in on the back top corner where the door switch is actually located.

Remove 1 screw from small cover on rear of machine and check to make sure connectors are tight from base to copier.

I see a lot of orange packing tape. Did you try to unpack it yourself and damage something? Most likely. Contact the seller to have a trained installer sent out.

The black trim panel below the LCT access door is missing, which makes me wonder if there was some damage done to that area of the machine, possibly in transport.

I own a konica minolta bizhub c458 brand new copier. The first time i turned it on it showed a little arrow on the screen indicating that the component door just under the bypass tray is open. However, this door is closed. I tried turning on and off many times but the message persists.
What can i do?

Check the sensor & actuator that detects when the door is open.

Also check the loom that connects the main machine to the lower paper deck this could have got damaged during transport.

Surprised you found a new C458 this is a discontinued model now.
