It's the font of the default style - black/red theme uses plain "arial-ish" like font so it's the better choice to me. There's only a bug with the topic title at the top of the page during watching a thread that is displayed in Times New Roman. And I still would suggest to set a global "max-width" for a better reading experience on widescreen devices.

As far as I can tell, there is a defined maximum width. If I make my browser window larger, the size of the forum itself doesn't change, I just end up with larger blank bars on either side. The forum doesn't actually change size unless I make the browser window smaller than the forum size and then it shrinks it and starts wrapping the text and images.

I am not certain but I have a feeling that Gift may have been referring to Maximum Font size that some browser settings have.

neglected to visit the system forums for updates and then found site was down ?. I was like WTH going on...
Anyways, site is super helpful regardless of the niggly issues. Things can only get better.
I have however noticed that opening a search result (retrieved say from Google) results in the attached page being displayed.
Suppose it breaks my dirty habit of not searching the forums to brush up on tips I've long since forgotten. Keep up the good work guys, much appreciated! ?

Google's indices are out of date. Their URL pointers still point to the old CTN database, prior to the Migration started. It could take as much as 6 more weeks before Googles ALI. Artificial Lack of Intelligence, to finally realize that there is a problem and scan CTN's new database. The vBulletin software that CTN uses should be finished building the site indices,

We're still working with support on this, the links aren't as broken as I thouht they were so that's good, now it's about how to redirect the broken links to where they need to go.

Why were the url's changed, looks like they are now buried in a load of subdirectories.

Yes already mentioned but it's useless.

On most social media you can.

The emoji button does give us a wider selection how we can react, but I do miss the Thanks/ Like buttons and their single click usage. One thing I have noticed is that if someone else has already reacted in the same way you want to you merely have to click on their reaction so you only have to click twice when you are the first one to react.

I have no social media as I'm copier tech freak and here is my media.
                          Ditto missing thanks/likes though ?

The old thank and like buttons were a 3rd party modification that didn't have a lot of back-end functionality, the new reaction options feed into the user reputation system so positive things like a thumbs-up, smile, or cups of coffee would be a plus, while green barf and thumbs down might be a minus. The reputation system is currently turned off because it was a complete mess on the old data is way out of whack but we'll eventually get the data reset and re-deployed the system. it's a medium priority so give us a month or figure it out.

For example, In the old system, one negative reaction toward a new user from a seasoned user carried so much weight that the new user would be so far in the negative that they'd never recover. As an Admin I could affect a score by 100 points but a user like blackcat4866, due to registration date and post count could swing a score by 2,000+ points. it made sense on paper but lacked actual usefulness so it was hidden for the past few years. I think the new system will work better and not generate as many messages asking me why the red bar under their username never changed.

I really appreciate your hard work towards transformation new board is so much easier in every therm of posting and editing. We all really really hope search we will be at some point also available as this is BIG!
Reputation is good thing you can perhaps restrict it to posts counted in technical forums not overall, join date is not a big deal, and reputation down should be not possible. That said we will still need some way to report spamming if we can't flag post.

I have been aware of this for a while, and have been careful about making any reputation comments, positive or negative, due to the that effect.
