At the very top of a page, you will see a down point arrowhead. Clicking on it will give you additional options including Advance Search.

And remember Aneurysm is just the site administrator, not the software publisher. Many of the changes people are asking for will require the database engineers at the publishers to look at and determine if a solution is even possible.

But do you know database engineering? It is the database indices that needs to be rebuilt not the links.

        What I have noticed:
        Structure for old URL https://www.copytechnet.com/forums/c...003-error.html
Structure for new post in email notifications https://www.copytechnet.com/node/1564442
Changing the old URL to https://www.copytechnet.com/node/176449 gives you a result but it is the wrong post. The old node/sequence number no longer point to the same post. All old posts received NEW numbers when the new version of the software initially processed the database. As an example https://www.copytechnet.com/node/1 brings the current home page. https://www.copytechnet.com/node/100 brings up a post from February 7, 2005 Copier model cross reference chart by Aneurysm.

Just for the hell of it I tried https://www.copytechnet.com/node/176400 which brought up PDF scan version in PDF scan version komica minolta from 10-19-2023. Anyone who wants can try other numbers to see what you get.

          Code:
          https://www.copytechnet.com/forum/system-forums/site-feedback-questions/178877-search-advanced-search/page3#post1564460
The 178877 in the above URL was usually something that never changed and allowed the system to find posts even if the thread (now known as a topic) title changed but something got screwed up in our update. I still have access to the old system so I'll see if I can log in there and see if they did change

My app is finished, it does what I intended.

The results for the site transition look promising, a search for fuser in the Ricoh forum brings up a result from 2015.

Not all buttons work yet, we have to wait for Google to rebuild its database

It's about right time we need it badly ?

I would say after waiting a bit for Google crawling new site nothing has changed. Still we haven't search function. I can handle some missing parts from previous version although the bad taste in my mouth. What seems unthinkable is burying all old posts. I have to patiently wait for a month or so...

Not sure if this will help:

If you've recently added or made changes to a page on your site, you can request that Google re-index it using any of the methods listed in this guide.

My Ricoh knowledge is slowly dwindling away at this point. Many things have been lost to time...

I have a whole archive of bookmarks of contributions by machines from the old forum, which now serve no purpose, will this ever change?

If you know which forum they were in and the approximate date they were started, try using the "Filter" button within the individual forum.

Also I think CTN's database pointers are now pretty much updated. I was able to find a post from 2017 the other day.

FYI, I do not use Google's search.

Unfortunately now simple and reliable Search function is broken here and elsewhere...

Personally I found Google very unreliable. In fact they often lie.

I always copy posts of interest from this site into my personal database on my PC. I don't take any chances.,

Some people will defend this buggered up site transition to the end. Me, tsbservice and any others that used it would know that my app or Google searching the old site would find anything, look there is Kyocera's other service mode in the first result. Surely the site admin should have been a bit more concerned when he announced that we may have lost all the old site data and decades of knowledge thrown down the drain. Now, site contributors are being encouraged to donate, for what? I made mine on the basis of how useful it used to be.

I agree, previous a quick google search for a copier fault or error code would bring you to this site. Now sadly it will simply point us to dead links. Decades of history gone, terrible.
