I've joined this industry in 2014, mostly working with Kyocera and Konica Minolta. 8 years being tech and this last 2 also selling machines, consumables and spares.
Since I work for a Distribution company never had much interaction with some software solutions.
Started hating Kyocera color machines and at the moment loving hehehe
Don't know how much time will continue in this industry, maybe more years if I get an opportunity abroad but here maybe will be leaving for another field in two years hehehe

If you're like most of us, once your in you're a lifer. I tried to escape into financial planning ~15yrs ago. I got all the licensing and worked for 3months, making very close to nothing for the whole three months. Apparently I don't have the knack for selling an invisible something that you'll see in 25yrs maybe, if you live that long. Just because you believe in it and understand it, doesn't mean that you can sell it. Of course, then back to copiers. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

The number of years changes year by year. I started in 1980. In the beginning it was the repairing of Canon liquid toner machines and typewriters. Later there were dry toner copiers, then it became more and more digital.........

So many companies have gone away from pensions in the US. Unless you work for the government.

I will have a small pension from a company that I left in 2004. Pensions are a thing of the past. =^..^=
